A completely new and redesigned platform, the Scout 2.0 is an integrated video and photo platform able to capture HD video and high-res photos for Ag Producers. The Scout 2.0 is comprised mainly of carbon fiber, meaning the aircraft is lightweight, strong, and responsive during flight. The multirotor is ready to fly straight out of the waterproof Pelican case within seconds. The kit gives users everything needed to fly including spare parts to make capturing images of fields easy and cost effective.
One of the single greatest features of the kit is the camera stabilizing gimbal. The 2-axis (tilt and roll) camera gimbal is stabilized via electronic gyroscopes and brushless motors, allowing video to be stable shake free. The gimbal can house any of the current Go Pro cameras, all capable of capturing amazing HD videos and photos. The gimbal’s tilt can be controlled by the pilots’ remote control from the ground and allows for a 90 degree range of motion starting from straight down to horizon level. The gimbal automatically maintains the camera’s roll so that video and photos are level. Paired with an optional FPV Camera Kit (First Person View) the pilot can view exactly what the camera is filming in real time and without delay on a included handheld HD LCD monitor or on a larger screen monitor (not provided).
The muilcopter comes standard with the NAZA-M Lite with GPS flight control system, capable of offering stabilized flight, GPS Position Hold, “Return To Home”, and Fail Safe Mode should the signal connection between remote control and the multirotor be disconnected for any reason. The multirotors flight control system can be upgraded to the APM flight control system, allowing for complete autonomous flying abilities and pre-programmed waypoint flying.
